When to Visit France?

Best time to visit France?  Early spring and early fall are perfect for vacationing in France. You'll find great airfare deals in the fall and discounted hotels in early spring and fall.

Peak Season: Summer is the most popular time to visit France. The resorts along the Côte d'Azur begin to fill up with tourists from around the world. February brings ski season in the Alps, as well as vacationing students.

Value Season: May and early June offer good weather and are smart times to visit before summer tourism begins in earnest. September offers warm days, cool nights, and great deals on travel.

France is best visited during spring time, May and June, or the beginning of autumn, September and October. Summer vacations are during July and August, making it the worst time to visit because of the overcrowding.

Every self help book I have ever read has claimed, "Write it down. Make it happen." So, I decided that if Gail and I are ever going to get to France, we need to write it down to make it happen.

So, we're off like a herd of turtles!

One day, my dear friend Gail, began to hear three little words in her head, "I love France!" Gail shared this obsession with me and I told her that it meant she was "supposed" to go there. And of course, since she had shared this Field of Dream auditory experience with me, I was supposed to go with her.

It didn't take a lot of convincing to get the men-folk to agree. I think they believe the fishing isn't too hot in France, and since they really aren't big wine drinkers... they gave us their blessing to go without them. Hurray.

There was only one catch, we need to come up with the money on our own. Not a problem. We can do this!!! A little bit of savings can soon grow. If you believe it... it can happen!

So this blog with be our way to plan the trip of a lifetime. We will begin to plan where we want to go when we get there. How we will travel. And how much it will all cost.
