When to Visit France?

Best time to visit France?  Early spring and early fall are perfect for vacationing in France. You'll find great airfare deals in the fall and discounted hotels in early spring and fall.

Peak Season: Summer is the most popular time to visit France. The resorts along the Côte d'Azur begin to fill up with tourists from around the world. February brings ski season in the Alps, as well as vacationing students.

Value Season: May and early June offer good weather and are smart times to visit before summer tourism begins in earnest. September offers warm days, cool nights, and great deals on travel.

France is best visited during spring time, May and June, or the beginning of autumn, September and October. Summer vacations are during July and August, making it the worst time to visit because of the overcrowding.

Yes, they harvest in the fall. Was at the Phoenix meet-up with French-Word-a-Day author Kristin Espinasse yesterday. She said at their vineyard they will even put you up for two weeks while you help with the harvest. You do have the commit to the full two weeks though.
